Skills and Abilities
There are many skills needed to become a scout or coach, some do require physical ability and some require mental abilities. Most of the skills that scouts and coaches use are communication and problem solving. This is shown as coaches need to talk to their assisting staff or players to make gameplans or stradegies for upcoming events. Scouts have to talk to the organization they work for to tell them about a prospect or possible recruit they have been scouting and if they should recruit or not. Problem solving is used for many reasons in coaching and scouting as coaches need to solve the problems of players if they are not performing to top potential. Scouts need to solve problems of recruits so they can be at top level for the best recruiting possibilities. Then there is the physical skills that coaches need as they need to be able to show examples to their players and actually play the game they need to. Scouts need to be able to endure long games and be physically active so they can keep up with certain recruits.
